NEW FOUNTAINS

Two new drinking fountains were recently installed as a part of the Periwinkle Partnership restoration along Periwinkle Way. These
fountains accommodate adults, children and handicapped, and pets
as well.

One of the fountains is located along the shared use path at La Vigna,
and the other is beside the shared use path at the entrance to the newly
planted native plant garden at Palm Ridge and Periwinkle Way.

Sanibel resident Ginny Fleming and her dog Bess have already discovered and enjoyed this new convenience.

“What a great idea for our local dogs and it seems to be a tourist attraction as well with bikers stopping to drink or take pictures of the dog drinking from the fountain. Bess says to tell you that she loves it and heads straight over there every morning after her cookie at the bank and that it is great because she can drink and drink and it never empties! She is telling all her doggie pals to go see it”, says Ginny.

Ginny feels it is a nice service for our pet population and wants all the
Dog Club members to be aware of it.
